AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS 2013

__The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations was the 29th Africa Cup of Nations, the football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). It was scheduled to be hosted by Libya, however CAF moved the competition to South Africa because of the instability in the North Africa country. Starting from this edition, the tournament was switched to being held in odd-numbered years instead of even-numbered years so that it does not clash with the FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria won their third Africa Cup of Nations championship with a 1–0 victory over Burkina Faso in the final. Nigeria will participate in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil as the representative from CAF.
