Despite spending big on the likes of Javier Pastore, Thiago Motta and Kevin Gameiro, Carlo Ancelotti's side finished second behind Montpellier in the last campaign and Sissoko is desperate to make amends.
"We will not hide. Our goal is to be champions," the Mali midfielder said. "It will erase the mistakes we may have made last season.
"The club has invested a lot on very important players and we know what lies ahead. We will not put extra pressure on ourselves - we will just do the work to achieve the objectives that are the championship and a good run in the Champions League."
