Ghanaian champions Berekum Chelsea progressed to the next round of the CAF Champions League after defeating Liberian side LISCR 3-0 at the Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon.

Striker Emmanuel Clottey grabbed a brace to add to experienced midfielder Jordan Opoku's first half opener to complete a 5-0 aggregate win.

Chelsea went into the second leg tie with defender Eric Agyemang and Prince Arko's goals from Monrovia a fortnight ago.

Hans van der Plyum side began the needed patience to disintegrate a resolved LISCR side.

Skipper Abdul Basit was twice denied by the visitor's goalkeeper.

The talented attacking midfielder tried his luck from 25 yards but his effort was palmed out by the goalkeeper.

Just after the break, Chelsea grabbed the opener after LISCR failed in their organisational duties and the former Asante Kotoko midfielder tucked the ball in for the opener.

After the interval, Chelsea expanded their play and took charge of the game in midfield with defender Eric Agyemang covering lot of space.

Abdul Basit combined well with Ibrahim Moro before reaching out for Clottey who darted home from a vital area.

Jubilations were sparkling as local fans in the newly refurbished Park cheered Chelsea's brilliance.

Though the venue had once hosted an African club competition, this particular tie added something special with the nature of free flowing attacking football put on show by the 'Blues'.

Clottey sealed the victory when he went clear of his marker before testing the strength of the net with a powerful shot from inside the box.

The two goal hero was replaced by Nigerien forward Musa Mohammed with five minutes left.

Chelsea host Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in the 1/16th stage.
