Thulani Serero again came off the bench to help Ajax Amsterdam to a 2-2 draw away to VV Venlo at the weekend. 

The defending Dutch Eredivisie champions were trailing 2-0 when Serero entered the fray just past the hour-mark, but within six minutes of his arrival they had pulled back to 2-2.
 
Also in Holland, Kamohelo Mokotjo played the final nine minutes as Feyenoord stumbled to a 1-1 draw away at Heracles.

In the Slovakian top-flight, Sibusiso Ntuli continued his fine form for FC Nitra, starting and scoring in the 2-0 away win over Kosice that keeps his side second in the table.

Bridget Motha did not start for Senica, but a tier below Waseem Isaacs helped inspire Zemplin Michalovce to a 3-0 home win over Rimavská Sobota that keeps them top of the table.

In Belgium, Anele Ngcongca's Genk suffered a surprise 3-2 away defeat to Cercle Brugge, while on Friday night Daylon Claasen and Siboniso Gaxa played as Lierse were held 1-1 by Germinal Beerschot, their third draw in three matches this season.
 
Darren Keet (Kortrijk) and Ayanda Patosi (Lokeren) were both unused substitutes, while Lance Davids (Lierse) did not feature at all.
 
In Israel, new signing Dino Ndlovu came off the bench for Bnei Yahuda after 50 minutes but could not help his side to the win as they lost 2-0 at Hapoel Acre. Bevan Fransman is in action for Hapoel Tel Aviv on Monday.
 
In England, Andrew Surman came off the bench for Premiership Norwich City as they were held 1-1 by Stoke City, while in the Championship Bongani Khumalo's Reading were beaten 2-1 at home by Barnsley. 
 
Aaron Mokoena played for Portsmouth as they continued their fine recent form with an away 0-0 draw at Bristol City, but Kagisho Dikgacoi missed out for Crystal Palace through injury.
 
Tsepo Masilela's debut for Spanish La Liga side Getafe was put on hold as their game against Racing Santander was postponed due to a player strike that has disrupted the start of the domestic season.
