The 16-year-old, French-born attacking midfielder’s name figured on Senegal’s roster released on Monday by coach Amara Traore ahead of the Teranga Lions’ international friendly against Morocco on August 10 in Dakar.
The Senegal FA had assured they would leave no stone unturned in an attempt to lure the rising star on board, even though the French Under-17 national team still kept him in their outfit.
Senegal are leading Group E of the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifying with 10 points, but coach Amara says it’d be illusory to believe his team have already qualified for next year’s continental showpiece, with only two rounds left.
