Kalu Uche
Espanyol climbed into the top half of the Spanish Primera Liga standings after a hat-trick by midfielder Kalu Uche helped them to a 5:1 thrashing of the visiting Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
The Nigeria international scored twice in the first half either side of a Philippe Coutinho brace as the Catalans raced to a four nil lead at the break.
Rayo pulled one back through Raul Tamudo in the 54th minute, before Uche capped the win on 69 minutes.
Uche, who rejoined Espanyol in the winter transfer window after an earlier spell in the 2000-01 season, has now scored four goals in five appearances for the club.
