Obinna Obiefule
The most prolific Nigerian striker in Europe this season Obinna Obiefule has set a new goal-scoring record of 34 goals in Malta.
Obiefule fired a hat-trick Friday in a 4-1 demolition of Qormi in the Malta premier league playoff to power Mosta FC to safety and catapult his exploits into the history books.
The previous all-time record was held by Danilo Doncic with 32 goals.
"It’s great that I have made it finally. This is the biggest achievement of my career,” an excited Obiefule told MTNFootball.com
Obiefule's hat-trick equally helped Mosta stay put in the BOV Premier League next season and he was named the man of the match.
